That was an impressive drop, into a nice, small, tidy pile of debris. It still boggles me to see good buildings brought down, but I guess there are always business reasons behind it.

I was there for this me and my fiance had a room at caesars facing Trump plaza. Sickest thing seeing a implosion in person. We felt the explosives go off and the building shook!!! I was trying to figure out if CDI did this implosion because i love seeing implosions and the documentaries that were made of CDI prepping building for implosion and finally found this channel on the CDI website. Awesome video and great shots. Crazy how you got it to come down in to a perfect pile all in one spot!!! Can't wait to see the next one

I heard there was a fundraiser and they auctioned off the opportunity to press the button to start the charges. Was there any footage of the auction winner pressing the button to bring the house down?
@caropeguero87703 жыл бұрын
this never happened... the auction was planned but once the building owner at the time found out about it, he stopped the fundraiser due to safety concerns. he made a donation to the boys and girls club to make up some of what they couldn’t get from the fundraiser.

so everybody loves the end show... but there is probably a lot of engineering and prep work necessary to get the desired results! in this video I saw a structure that was not part of the original building (looked like a stabilizing structure) that helped fell the building in a direction? supposition, but my point... think of the prep and engineering... amazing

The concrete is ground up and used again as aggregate in new concrete, the rebar wiring and other steel is recycled as best as it can be. That's really all that's left at that point, all the furnishings, fixtures and even windows are removed before demo.

I do not foresee the other two-Trump Marina was initially another company that could not obtain a license-MGM Grand I think-and Taj Mahal was initially a Caesar's property, but wound up purchased and continued by Trump. The only other one-World's Fair, was twice failed casinos and Trump could not get it to be licensed as a fourth casino. It was demolished a long time ago. You can see it as The playboy in Eddie and the Cruisers.
