Hi there, I've never worked with encoder in Factory IO

thank you, but as you did it seems that the only way to switch between real and "sim" PLC is starting I/O addresses from byte 10 or not?

Hi dear friend. Of course not. The only important point is that the real input addresses defined in the hardware section in TIA portal, are not the same as the input addresses used in Factory I/O. After hardware configuration in TIA portal, Naturally each real digital or analog input has an address. Suppose you have 8 real digital inputs ( I1.0 to I1.7) and two analog inputs (Iw30 and Iw32). Then you can use other input addresses in Factory I/O which are I0.0, I0.1 to I0.7, then I2.0, I2.1, .... I2.7, I3.0, I3.1, ... , I29.7 , but next inputs with byte number 30,31,32 and 33 are used for two real analog inputs. so, the next free input address is I34.0, and also next addresses can be used in Factory I/O. The easy way is to split the input addresses into two ranges like the uploaded movie.
