Im shocked the judge did this. This happens all the time In dade and broward. State attorney and prosecutors who are soft on crime.

Why is this going to trial? Twenty years is a typical sentence for attempted murder. The guy seems to be in his 50s. If so... a mandatory, no parole sentencing is effectively his life. Now we're paying for a case that might net, what... 2 extra years of a sentence in jail? Before he dies. This is emotions outweighing logic. It's a waste.
