My guess is that he jumped up, then the block below him pushed him up at just the right moment that he counted as being in the above block (the on-off block itself), which counted as being crushed. Of course, I don't know the intricacies of the mechanics, so I could be wrong.

I love the description of the bonus level as a pitch -- "It's a trump jump, but in outer space!" That actually was a cool design though -- imagine that in a dark level? First pass through, you have a coin trail to guide you, but in subsequent passes you need to memorize it. I like it!

In that first level, you were supposed to turn the bullet bill around by hitting it with the cat suit, that's why there's a P block indicator there. You didn't have to hit the block yourself a dozen times, you were losing like two seconds there.

It really annoys me when Ryu, for whatever reason, seemingly very purposefully declines to show the level name, creator or code for certain levels. The Larry balls/snowballs level looked like a fun challenge - too bad we can't go check it out ourselves. Honestly, not at least crediting a level creator feels like borderline content theft. Ryu used to at least pause the game at the start, but now he can't even be bothered with that. Ryu - I enjoy your videos a lot - but you can do better. Stop gatekeeping!
