This is legitimately good advice. Further education is essential for a lot of people. Strive to get better, learn a vocation, do something -- anything -- that improves you and commit to it fully. But also, do it for you. Let me get real, here: I didn't get a choice; I had to drop out of college, and life took me in a very different direction. If I knew what I was in for, I can guaran-goddamn-tee you that I would do everything in my power to backtrack things around the time I turned 18, because holy cow I set my entire life back about 19 years. I'm just now starting to catch up and I suspect I'm not going to fully recover from my poor decision-making. That's consequences for you, and I accept them, but the regrets will ride me and colour my interactions with others until my final day regardless.

The biggest issue with higher education is people tend to think that their teacher is supposed to hold their hand the entire way, everyone should do self study and actually go through the material themselves or do online research (which often is better than any of the material you go through in class) hands on experience with your field/classes is way more useful to more people than attending lectures and never asking your professor any questions or visiting them during office hours. I constantly find myself beating myself up over having not learned that sooner.

Going to college without getting a degree is just saddling yourself with a lot of extra debt without any reward for your effort. If you know that you're not going to stay long enough to graduate, you're better off either going to a technical/trade school or just going straight into the workforce.

It's all fun and games but lets be real those big company creator college dropouts couldive finished college if they stayed, only choosing to leave because they had bigger opportunities or was bored of the curriculum. Where other college drop outs, dropped out because they couldn't keep up with the curriculum. I'm the latter and I can tell you how many times I regretted it and wished I stayed.

Good advice for a lot of fields which honestly don't have good career prospects, but never forget that there are definitely some fields where you need college education, including many which we need in order to maintain modern civilization. So if you feel you're up for the challenge and think the career prospects are good enough for you, don't drop out of college.

For most Jobs, a College is not necessary, rsther it's superfluous and wasteful. Only go to College for stuff like Medicine (Any Job that MANDATES Specialized Education will be in this category) or IT fields (Where the Degree is more to get YOUR FIRST JOB IN THE AREA to start building your CV track record). Anything not fit into either an Essential or in Perpetual demand (Medics and Engineers are never gonna go out of demand) should not be considered for College, and DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE YOU START IT.

College is a hyper-efficient stress factory with minor educational side effects (don't worry, not everyone gets the side effects!) In other words, FAQ college. Be like Henya, Gates, Newell... (don't be like Steve Jobs, he was a douchebag; screwed his best friend over and his best friend was barely even surprised... tells you a lot about the guy). But be like those others. Don't burn yourself out HARD for literally nothing but a piece of paper that proves how gullible and obedient you are. Learn practical work skills, sure. Learn critical thinking. Get experience in a field of your choice, yes. But pass on the pretentious crap that's in so many CVs that it no longer means anything. College is a scam. And an expensive one at that, in many parts of the world. Even where it "only" costs your time, energy, health and youth, it's still a scam.
