The thing about editors like VSCode is that they make you feel good at first, but they feel like a cage after a while. On the flip side, editors like NeoVim can make you feel stupid at first, but they feel like pure, unadulterated freedom after a while... until you discover Emacs and have to repeat the cycle to achieve true enlightenment.
