It isn't "politics." It's a major difference in morals, ethics, and priorities. (It used to be just politics, but one of the major parties has been hijacked by people who use it as a vehicle not for politics but for their personal moral crusades and vendettas.) Only you can decide whether you want to be with someone whose morals, ethics, and priorities are so wildly different from your own, or as a consumer whether you want to support someone who voted for a side that would destroy your very existence or that of people you love if they could. But never diminish the issue by viewing it as just politics when it isn't.

“Politics” is not the problem. Ignorance of politics and civics, not understanding the difference between truth and lies, finding scapegoats to blame - these are the problems. Open your eyes, read a little recent history and see at which point our politics hit the low point we are dealing with now. It’s been the project of one candidate to divide us, generate political hatreds and profit on it politically. Where you are right is that it’s best to keep your politics to yourself, particularly if you don’t have the knowledge to render an educated opinion. And it doesn’t matter whether you separate your politics from your music channel. Spreading political messages you don’t truly understand is dangerous and potentially destructive no matter the platform on which it’s presented.

When I was a kid, my dad told me to NOT discuss religion or politics with my friends. Both subjects are so divisive, even more so today. And people today are just so hateful when you disagree with them. So I’ve kept my beliefs and opinions to myself and have been a much happier person. My advice as a woman who’s been married for 43 years, simplistic though it may be, is for you two to turn away from the hate-filled internet and turn toward each other. Don’t let evil win. I've been watching your channel for over a year, and I love the sweet chemistry you have together. Please don't think that everything is destroyed. It's not. You got drawn into politics because this presidential election is probably the most consequential one in our lifetime. You, and other influencers, were hungry for the truth. I enjoyed watching your perspective change as you learned more and more. I'm going to be 70 years old in a few months. We USED to be able to discuss controversial subjects with those who disagreed with us, while remaining respectful toward each other. That's part of being a mature adult. We continued our friendships. @@littlel5570 We haven't had any politicians fight each other in a dual, beat each other to a pulp in the legislsture or try and steal the Louisiana Territory because they feel slighted by the opposition recently. So contrary to the hype it isn't as bad as it has been. Our system is designed to make it really difficult to substantially change anything with a party simply holding a majority. They either need some bipartisan support or a large majority. The press makes alarmist noises because that's what makes them money. Trump isn't going to be declared Caesar tomorrow despite what the press wants you to believe.

Now I hate to see innocent people being slaughtered, but those ant-Democratic voters in places like Michigan sealed the fate of the Palestinian people they claim to care so much about, and I no longer care. Reading stories like the one where a bunch of Trump voters showed up to work post-election, being called into a meeting by management to inform them that they will not be receiving any Christmas bonuses this year because the threat of the felon's proposed tariffs, so the money must be spent on acquiring a years worth of inventory to try and avoid those tariffs. Don't get me started on anyone of Hispanic/Latin descent who voted for the pedophile because you think the far right fascists government will only go after "the bad" immigrants. Get a clue, they think you're ALL "bad". Same goes for any other minority group in this country. They'll take your vote...but pay very close attention now to what they propose, and what they oppose. No more of just doing this mindless culture war nonsense, whining and complaining. Let's see what the Conservatives do with the power they now have and see if it makes EVERYONES lives better. Judging by all meaningful measures and statistics, looking at the individual states run by Conservatives...I'm wouldn't be optimistic, unless living in places like Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and such are your idea of "good living".
