It is a slightly different version of After the Rain, which was based on a script written by Kurosawa Akira. Simply wonderful and touching! What a joy to be able to watch it again! I am looking forward to watching all the other episodes! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:)

Fujita Makoto stars in this series along with Tamao Nakamura (who played his wife). Tamao was Shintaro Katsu's wife in real life. Fujita guest stared in many TV shows and acted in many movies. He also sang and released 9 recordings. He was a committed pacifist, probably because his brother was killed in the Battle of Okinawa in WW2. Fujita died at the age 76 in 2010.

Saw a movie called I believe :After The Rain, similar plot very well acted, like the series as well. Hope there will be more "period" pieces. to me they're as good as "Westerns"

There is a movie called Samurai From Nowhere (道場破り 1964) with similar story of a ronin named Ihei Misawa (Isamu Nagoto) who is a master in 'Drop Sword Technique' who is a travelling ronin with his wife Tae looking for employment.
