My first grade teacher loved pigs so much that she made an annual pig day where we had to dress as pigs and we learned about pigs in a pig-decorated classroom! She's still my neighbor so I get to reminisce about our pig day festivities all the time 🐷

I like to do colorful, bright makeup sometimes but I don't leave the house or only wear it among friends, because I'm worried about other peoples' reactions. I'd heard the "People won't notice because they're only worrying about themselves" before, but I still wasn't convinced. But you're right; even if people DO notice and think it's weird, it's fleeting. Why should that stop me? Time to dust off my blue lipstick...

Super clothing/presenting self through modifying appearance fan here! I have looked at many people in public and loved/wanted some portion of their outfits, but I have never (since my judgemental younger days) looked at anyone in public and judged/hated their outfit. And if someone as outward-presentation-focused as me doesn't think bad things about others' appearances, it's pretty much a guarantee that nobody else thinks bad things about your appearance.

As far as outfit/style confidence goes, the opinions of strangers means squat to me. If I don't trust them for advice, I don't trust them for criticism either. 99% of people say nothing. I get the odd complement, but if anyone does say anything, the fact they need to put someone else down to make themselves feel better says far more about their self esteem and negative mindset than it does about my style choices.
