I have seen KZbinrs put alcohol in their water in order to paint gouache in below freezing temps. Haven’t tried it 😊

Is it considered cheating if you take a picture and then get your guache on inside where it is warm?

naaa.... lots of artist paint from reference photos... or start outside and finish inside. Just don't lie about where the work was done.
