Very interesting your vídeos Michael I like them a lot, your explanations are very clear, understable and very real, I paint on plein air myself and see a lot of similarities and answers to the quesitions that arise. Painting is an individual activity and the work you are doing sharing all the information with all us is príceless Your generosity is huge !!! Hope you will follow postíng those vídeos!!!Thanks a lot Michael !!

What a great video, I was waiting for it, Pat told me you went painting with two other guys...very good painters actually, very interesting to watch different approaches. Talking about back pain, I blew the disc on my L5 doing some farmers carries and I had to rush to the ER this morning, excruciating pain and I havent sleep in the whole night (I cried mostly haha), conclusion Im on opioids YEY! Im not 25 anymore I have to accept it...Im done with heavy weights I guess.

Thank you, Michael for another educational video. I have a question for you (or for anyone in the community). Sometimes, even when my oil painting is fully dried, areas will appear to be shiny as though still wet. Sometimes this is a blotch, other times a streak. Sometimes large, sometimes small. How is this caused and corrected? Thank you in advance.
@chamberlainpaintings4 жыл бұрын
Areas painted with more medium in the mix will often be shinier. Usually the shine is evened out when varnish is applied. Try Gamvar by Gamblin.

Michael: Thanks for another valuable video. I always pick up a learning point or two. Speaking of which, I listened to your interview on a podcast yesterday which was great as well. I don't expect you to remember, but in case you do I'd love to know the VHS art classes that you found so valuable. Thankfully, I already have two of the Gruppe books and the Macpherson. Heading to Monhegan in just about a month (fingers crossed.) Check out Gareth Jones' work. He's doing some great work, especially considering he's only been painting since 2018. Cheers.

I"ve searched for the VHS oil painting tutorials I learned from online, but haven't found them. I wish I had written down the title and the instructors name! The good news is, I'm sharing everything I learned here on my KZbin channel. Maybe I'll do a few of the exercises in upcoming videos. Have fun on Monhegan!

Is there a pro when you sketch with the burnt sienna instead of a pencil?
@chamberlainpaintings4 жыл бұрын
Often times the drawing will show in the finished painting. Burnt Sienna adds pops of orange which is often complimentary and adds illumination. Some artists like the look of pencil in the finished work. Up to you!

-- MICHAEL. - time into video 10:15. , you’ve painted something too marvelous. It’s truly spectacular. East coast time is now 1:07 AM, Woke and had to peek. I can’t view closely now, but , three immensely large Entities, one is four legged , yes, I know they look like trees, but to me ,, much more, feels asgardian, , to weak now , to go into , let into, merge with your creativity, , it is an echo, it’s very good, perhaps. Tomorrow, night, thank you ; ). 1:32AM.

- MICHAEL , - To me, it most definitely is rooted in mythological creatures, I feel it’s an echo, reverberating , but in forms and shapes. This pool is the place of birth and “”RE-BIRTH “” of their kind, see close in towards you upon the water a glowing haze of energy, there on the left. Just above the shore there are two entities, the smallest is childlike in its shadowy appearance, running towards a Golden Haired Goddess, she is the guardian of the newborns, look and see her outstretched hand , and that of the child’s too. The Goddess sparkles, clothed in purple. ...Between her and the LARGEST BEING in the picture lay two Beastly attackers, another lays felled open the ground to the right and partly behind the arriving DEFENDER, who appears , resembling a KNIGHT , riding a two headed creature,,,,, one head turned left, the other head turns to the right, both with mouths open announcing in triumphant roar,,,,, most visible between the Defender and the Guardian Goddess,,, , are the two slain beasts,,, laying upon their backs, , ,their mouths open and motionless. , , ...Michael, “ To me “ , it is all so visibly clear, , , , an energy echo imprinted here, be it from the past, future or another dimension, I could dot the shapes for anyone to connect,, , , The painting says it’s name, “”THE SAVING OF THE CHILD””

chamberlainpaintings - Michael, i did not mean to read it wrong, but , for the time stamp of 10:15 , all that I heard , seen , and imagined was there, After looking at the image on 10:15 time into the video several hours had passed, maybe 3 , maybe 4, perhaps more. Michael you’ve been very tolerant of an oldmans

chamberlainpaintings ..oldmad and his ramblings, my formal apology. A few days before I seen on the screen where a child had typed “” I’m going to fail”” , I had typed back ‘ You won’t ‘, , ! Paraphrasing, another type it said “ I’m afraid I can’t do it “. I spoke a verbal message , and type more , they would make it, to never give up, additionally I would ALWAYS think GOOD THINGS about them , a will of good fortune to preceded them and accompany them always.. Another interjected stating the employee was saved and I was to go and find all of a certain “” Photo “ , I found many, , , I pressed like and commented on many, The image and the beauty of the Woman is beyond compare, especially the blue eyes, , I became deeply trapped by the eyes, I wrote a poem of how they made me feel. I’m still recovering. Your Paintings, I think they are Great, and you are right, we must protect the child in all of us. ; ). ( norrinradd)

Not a fan of d.i.y. made tools. Just buy the brush holder, man. Because......it's harder to pass on d.i.y. made objects. As a homeless man with no friends who isn't missed very much during the holidays and has never accomplished anything particularly noteworthy in his life, I believe that I'm someone who should be listened to in this regard.
