Beautifully done, Jessica! My husband and I went to Oregon coast--we drove all the way!--and it was just an experience you can't explain. When we left it was like someone pulled our hearts out. Just too special. So happy to have caught this! 💓💓💓

A lovely way to spend half an hour today. A cup of coffee while listening to a gentle, intelligent woman teach colour, light and tone in a beautiful location. Thank you Jessica!

Great point about getting carried away with the foam and splashing waves. I’ve often wished there was an artists helpline I could call to help me stop adding details:)

Brilliant. I will try this. Inspired me to add it to my own plein air videos. I am just a beginner so your video really helps.

I really like that pill sorter idea! And the painting turned out great 😊

You pill sorter idea made me think of an easel I’ve been looking at. Look up “cup easel” in you tube. There is a guy in Canada that makes them and custom makes them. But your pretty handy and could probably make one too. But it’s a similar deal where you can store your oils and would be great for traveling and plein air. I was really impressed with the idea this guy has. I’m going to see if my hubby can make me one 😉 Wonderful painting. What a beautiful place!

I found this demo extremely useful. The camera was aimed right on the painting process so you could see clearly your careful brushstrokes. I’m in awe that it only took you 45 mins. I’d love to know what canvas you used as your paint seemed to glide on easily. Do you use more mineral oil than spirit as I struggle with applying the paint in these situations? I did, however, buy a pill box with tape underneath. That was a brilliant idea. Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your knowledge.

Absolutely beautiful! I have learned so much from you from these YT videos. What was the length of time this took from start to finish? I took 2.5 hours to paint a picture of a grain elevator. I am not sure if that was too long or not long enough, lol. Thanks for the opportunity to follow you on your painting journey.

Thanks Deb, I had about 45 minutes to paint before I had to leave for another appointment.

Just found you here, my most subject to paint . Like your limited pallet , your clean brush stokes . I have a tendency to over mix my strokes . Liked your paint container , is this a medicine container ؟ also are you able to to introduce your plein air easel . Really enjoyed watching this , the way you explained and your soft voice . Thanks for sharing your talent with us .
