Plenary round-up - Tue.20.Feb 2024

In the plenary sitting held on Tuesday 20 February 2024, Government introduced nine Bills before Parliament, aimed at legalizing provisions to rationalize agencies in different sectors of the economy.
The Speaker, Anita Among, renewed a call to the Minister of Works and Transport, Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala, to fast track the commencement of works on the 77 km Kampala-Jinja Expressway.
The House passed the Animal Feeds Bill, 2023 creating a committee to regulate production, storage, importation, exportation, and marketing of animal feeds.
