In the plenary sittings held on Tuesday 21, Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 November 2023, Parliament paid tribute to the late Joyce Rovincer Mpanga, a former Member of Parliament and Minister, for her commendable contribution towards women's emancipation and the education sector.
Lawmakers emphasized the need for an all-inclusive approach to curb Gender Based Violence, saying that current efforts are geared towards women, leaving men behind.
Government tabled the Judicature (Amendment) Bill, 2023, that seeks to increase the number of judges on both the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
