Years back when I raced circle track , a newcomer on the track had to have a yellow stripe on the front and rear bumper of the car to let people know that he was new or rookie and they had to do that for a year. Maybe the insurance companies and DMV for the first year of ownership and I’ll say for all chargers challengers because it seems like even V sixes are getting taken out so quick maybe they should have yellow stripes for the first year it may be mandatory driving classes lol don’t give me wrong I love Mopar got a few myself but I know how to drive.

I wonder if all these wrecked chargers and challengers are going to drop the value of these cars or raise it. I guess only time will tell. The ratio of cars built to cars decommissioned from wrecks is probably staggering. They'll be rare in 20 years cuz there won't be many left. All these young kids (and adults) are getting their very first car that has over 400hp and they don't even know how to drive. My boss is literally a dodge fanatic and has 10+ dodge trucks (duallys, warlocks, a couple jeeps) and just bought a TRX. His son wrecked the 392 he bought him, so he bought him a truck after. The engine was damn near in the cabin with no exxageration and he crashed with no other cars on the roads. I don't know if the fact he only had a broken arm, ruptured spleen and a few bruised ribs, considering how the car looked, is a good thing or not. I've seen cars get hit by trains and not look as bad. The dodges are definitely the new mustang and it's not even a competition anymore. I swear I started building cars back in 2005 and I had cars with 500+HP back then. I'm currently building a turbo 2003 cobra (800-1000hp) right now. 400 hp to someone getting their first car is for sure fast to them. 700 HP is a lot but you have to remember these mopars are heavy and 707 crank horsepower and 707 wheel horsepower are two different things. For those that don't know, the HP from the crank has to transfer through the converter (in an automatic, flywheel in manual), through the transmission, through the driveshaft, then through the rear end and axles, then finally to the ground. After all of that transferring, you lose anywhere from 5%-15% of the horsepower (depending on if you have an automatic or manual). So 707 crank horsepower is more like 635 wheel horsepower.
