I would prefer not to buy a IR loader pedal actually... I would much prefer to be able to load my own IRs within the plethora cab sim module/setting. So that I could do the modulation fx thing with the plethora (which will be most of the time at the end of the pedal chain) IR out to FOH, and use any amp I want in any format I want (a BluGuitar amp, for example) for the preamp and poweramp sections of the signal.

The Alter Ego is an amazing addition! I have one and it’s been my go to delay for years. I’m so excited that it’s now available on my Plethora! Now, how about adding the Trinity 2 reverb next time around? Keep up the great work!

Not sure there is enough DSP and frankly analog is where TC OD really shines. It makes more sense for them to focus on ambient and modulation effects.

Hi TC, what a great firmware update! I would really love to have some drives emulation (Zeus, Magus, Mojomojo...), Infinite sustainer, Auto swell, and the possibility to have a looper with more buttons, like a X2 or X4.

All fantastic changes! If you're looking for user feedback, one of the only effects that doesn't do great for me is the octaver is really sluggish on the plethora, so I have to use a separate sub-n-up. Also, changing how to toggle the tuner would be fantastic. Being able to set it to one of the pedal slots with a momentary foot switch would be dope for quickly tuning AND for musical kill-switching. Another way could be the expression pedal slot. Let the user have a remote button that can kick on the tuner.

Great update lads but where is the drive pedal? In order to use this as your pedal board with no other pedals, there really needs to be a drive and/or fuzz pedal. I love the unit but it is still on a pedal board with other pedals. I would like to get away from that if I could, so my fingers are crossed for the1.31 update with a drive pedal!!

I don't care about signal direction. What I do care about is parallel effects routing so I can have a full wet sound in effects rig. Currently if I select kill/dry, the reverb and/or delay isn't heard until signal passes thru either aforementioned.

Awesome update! I just got my plethora x5 for christmas and I love it. I have a rather weird improvement idea: I'm using the expression input to hook up a piano pedal (so basically a footswitch), I can as an example activate an effect only activated, when I'm holding down the footswitch. (Very useful for doing the Riff of Ain't talkin' 'bout love, where I can just hold down for the 1 second there's the flange, instead of hanving to activating the flanger, playing the three notes and than deactiviting it again.) The plethora reads the input basically as an expression pedal with either 0 or 100% percent (which makes sense). It would be cool, if you could assign a specific amount of percentage that pressing or not pressing the footswitch would could be mapped to. Or at least being able to swap 0 and 100, because when right now it's basically an opposite kill switch, when I've set it to volume instead of modiefier. I know this is very specific and kinda quircky, but I think it'd be really cool. Anyway thanks for the new update, I'm looking forward to trying the new stuff out. :)

@@Drew_Vernon I wonder what would happen if you just hooked it up like an expression pedal and assigned a wet/dry parameter to it. Don't have my plethora in front of me, but I would think that a regular footswitch would function like an expression pedal without a potentiometer. You would essentially get either 0% or 100% and should be able to assign it to whatever parameter you like. Try at your own risk, but as long as it's just a switch and not any additional circuitry going on, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

PRETTY PLEASE for the next firmware: 1. Clean booster pedal toneprint a la Spark booster. 2. Expression pedal adjustability like on Nova System so it can be set to min and max values so that the toe up is not neccesery 0 and toe down is not neccesery 100 (of course,it can be if adjusted so) with the actual flexibility of the Plethora so that it can control multiple parameters like it does now... that would be awesome! WOULD BE SO COOL TO HAVE 3 LITTLE KNOBS for each pedal (for individual tweaking), so you can actually have a pedal feel! I mean, that's what makes a pedal - the antilog tweaking of knobs. And a lot of times on concerts, I don't have time to click and go to menus.

Its a good pedal and updates are a very good thing. I think if you could do midi click sync with the looper and an eq you would probably sell tens of thousands. No one has looper midi clock sync in a multi effects pedal. It’s like it’s illegal haha

The plethora has been super fun to play with but I'd really love to be able to connect an external tap tempo switch to the expression out so I can still use the mash effect while also being able to tap tempo without editing my board or needing to enable tap tempo by holding the switch. It can be a challenge to enable and tap out the bpm on switches 2, 3, and 4 in a live scenario and I find myself accidently turning adjacent effects on/off resulting in temporary but acute discombobulation. Not sure if this is possible but It'd be really awesome to further be able to... Exp Out > TRS AB Switch > Toggle between Tap Tempo switch or Expession Pedal The LEDs are frustratingly covered up by my shoe when engaging foot switches or tapping BPMs. Would it be possible to dim the displays of pedals that aren't on and brighten them when they're turned on? It'd also be cool if the displays blinked along the LED for tap tempo. Kill switch option would be very useful. Perhaps a wah controlled by expression pedal. Spark!!! Thanks very much for listening!

+1 on wanting more tap tempo options. I'd even happily give up a pedal slot to a dedicated tap tempo pedal. I always tap 2 or 3 times to set tempo and then turn on my delay effect. Having to hold to enter delay mode first as well just makes it too impractical to use. It's the same thing that turns me off of the flashback.

The TC Flashback 2 delay toneprints 'mod', 'mod 8.' and 'mod 4+8' have changed dramatically with the 1.3 Firmware update. The modulation is now much heavier and changes the pitch in the tail. Is that really an intentional change of an otherwise useful toneprint? For some reason the weird modulation change disappears when you turn off tap tempo. Please fix this bug!

PATCHES!!! Come on guys, in a live situation you want to just hit one button to load whatever chain you have, you can't be switching effects on and off individually all the time. When it's time for that solo to kick in, one button should activate Delay/Chorus/Reverb/Boost/Whatever. all at once. Please, for the love of all things holy, make this simple change and you'll actually have something every guitar player can use in any live situation.
