I caught them this fall in a venue that was WAYYYYY too small. I grabbed tickets the day the went on sale, the resellers were selling them for 400-600 day of. It was a crazy show, all the girls would scream like they were watching the beatles. It was crazy, i had never seen anything like that. Chris is a totally AWESOME, let me say it again, AWESOME drummer. He utterly smashed that in under 60mins. He seemed so unhappy with the outcome (because of his incredible humility), but I challenge anyone to do better in that time. Damn you DRUMEO guys, giving him something so complicated and NOT giving him better feedback for how well he did with it!

I really liked the use of the ghost notes. It seems that he was able to use them to 'reset' if the time signature abruptly changed, and it worked! Really good run!

The tuning on the snare was so different from IIs set i feel like it made the sound a bit akward. I think he plays with Gels on. But his playtrough and the way he managed to learn this song within an hour is crazy. very well done.

Amazing effort. I can't help but feel trying to add so many ghost notes on every part is distracting him from just vibing with the song itself and learning the nuances in the melody. Not a critique, as its better than I would have done, but I found the constant ghost notes distracting, so can only imagine they were making it distracting as a playing as well.

Yea my favorite ballet reels are when the dancer is talking about how hard it was and you can actually see them struggling to do something that they've done and practiced for days and months and years. It's beautiful to watch them at the best, but I respect the effort so much more when I see them struggle. Because I really can't know how hard it is for them.

He says he struggles but I have doubts lol He's also been touring 10 years and literally never plays without a click track so that's probably why he has the best timing of any drummer I've ever seen

Starting a Sleep Token song and saying “we’re removing the drums so let’s see you play it” is possibly the most difficult thing a drummer could do. I’m not even a drummer, let alone musician (just a serious music listener of all genres for over three decades now), and some of ST’s songs seem like an absolute NIGHTMARE to even attempt. This dude got a listen prior to, knows the band so is aware of their ways, and STILL had a difficult time. Shows how incredible they are as a band.
