One of the problems with us Africans, most of us vote on the basis of tribes, not merit, or character of the candidate. The problem is prevalent in places where there are higher illiteracy rate. Where politicians can easily manipulate them. That’s how Africa end up with village fools as leaders. Right now as I comment, I am in the taxi from which I was invited to attend the interview in one of the municipalities in Pretoria. It was unfortunate that on my to the interview I called the HR who was supposed to interview me to inform him about the traffic. It broke my heart when they demanded R5000 and I was told that if I don't have it I should go back home. Thinking of the money I used for transport fee which I borrowed, I felt like I was stabbed right in the heart by a sharp nife. I said to myself, how can I report this because even if I had the money it is wrong to buy a job from the municipal LED and Rural Development councilor.
