Great video, I love Plok. Sadly as far as I remember John and Steve have the rights for the character but not for the game and they aren't sure what company have the rights for the game, maybe I'm misremembering things so don't take just my word but I think that it's a big problem and reason as to why they haven't tried to talk with Nintendo about putting the game on the Switch Snes emulator.

This game reminds me a lot of Dynamite Headdy and Rayman (which I believe that game started out on the SNES in the early 90’s as well). Though it is sad that titles like Dynamite Headdy and Plok got overshadowed by the sheer scale of platforming mascot over saturation.

Yes Rayman originally started out as a SNES game before moving onto the Atari Jaguar and PS1! I can definitely see the Dynamite Headdy comparison too, however I haven't played that myself yet! It's a real shame they both got lumped in with the likes of Bubsy and the rest considering how unique they are, however at least Dynamite Headdy is available to play on modern systems with the Mega Drive/Genesis collections!

I used to rent this game a whole bunch as a kid, of course the cover drew me in, but I remember this being a lot of fun... And really hard. Probably the only reason I never bought it to begin with. I recently got the soundtrack recommended in my feed and I kid you not, I'm STUMPED at how hard it hits for such an old 16-bit game. I genuinely hope this game gets a remaster or a full on remake, either with the original OST untouched or with a quality composer on board.

I can imagine the difficulty would've deterred you from committing to a purchase haha. Yeah it's crazy what Tim Follin could do with the SNES' sound chip. If the game did ever get remade, I hope Tim would come out of retirement just to work on the tracks again. Plok just wouldn't be the same without it!

Glad to see Plok being vindicated so many years after the fact, hopefully the Pickford bros realize how much people actually enjoyed this game. It saved an entire summer for my cousins and I when I was stuck at my crazy religious aunt and uncles house; I brought my SNES and talked my aunt into picking it up out of a bargain bin. We all loved it, and would sometimes just let the title track play in the background and got a huge kick out of it. My uncle even poked his head into the room during the Akrillic theme and said he liked the music. My cousins and I traded the sticks when one of us died; we were never bored as this game kicked our asses mercilessly so we passed the sticks often lol. Anyways, great job again on the video. I subbed because you've got some nice comedic timing and some great delivery, my dude. I fucking lost it at the Half Baked bit.

Great video! Brendammi Bog was going to be a lake with limb targets bringing land masses out of the water. Breezy Beach would have featured windswept buildings, possibly with a constant wind dynamic. Nothing was designed for Badream Fens. All three levels were cut for time.

I rented this back in the day and loved it. I was so confused that there was no follow up to this. Plok would rock on Smash Bros, especially if they used the Boss Theme and his costume changes. I do have a silly theory that Plok could be related to the PAC Man ghosts, if anyone is familiar with the original arcade cut scenes.
