Plongée sur l'épave du sous-marin le RUBIS - Cap Camarat - (wreck dive submarine ww2 / Epave Var)

🇫🇷 Autre plongée iconique de la méditerranée, le RUBIS. Ce sous marin à été coulé volontairement par la marine nationnale pour lui rendre honneur suite à ses prouesses effectuées pendant la seconde guerre mondiale au lieu de le démanteler.
L'épave gît à quelques encablures de la pointe du Cap Camarat au bout de la presqu'ile de Saint Tropez par 41 m de fond.
Le sous-main est posé bien droit, sa teinte marron-gris assez sombre tranche avec celle du sable. L'avant surplombe le fond auquel il n'est relié que par le câble de remorquage qui pend à la verticale de l'étrave. Les plongeurs peuvent passer sous la quille.
A voir absolument, les sous marins sont rares.

Another iconic dive of the Mediterranean, the RUBIS. This submarine was sunk voluntarily by the national navy to honor it after its prowess made during the Second World War instead of dismantling it.
The wreck lies a short distance from the tip of Cap Camarat at the end of the Saint Tropez peninsula at a depth of 41 m.
The desk pad is placed straight, its rather dark brown-gray color contrasts with that of the sand. The front overhangs the bottom to which it is connected only by the towing cable which hangs vertically from the bow. Divers can go under the keel.
A must see, submarines are rare.
