No, I would argue for his different crimes like r*pe, mass murder being a lair all in name of america. Also even though he may look selfless but he doesn't care about his family as his only goal is to protect America. I understand that this is just his patriotism but he would risk the whole world if it benefits America. If he can commit the crimes above who can guarantee he won't do more. But as you say Johnny is villain, I don't think he is as he never wanted to kill someone until it didnt reach the point to the corpse parts. He was selfless too as he was ready to lose corpse parts and the next location to save gyro what else would you want?

​@@Paleonojavaenos Hell nah, The Pillarmen did that as a punishment if Joseph ducked out of fighting Whammu. DIO at least had a reason to do what he wanted, he eventually abandoned that reason. DIO had one slightly redeeming quality which was loving his dead mother. The Pillarmen except for Whammu had nothing redeemable about them Kars and Esidisi do not have a backstory their entire philosophy is 'we are superior, if you don't like that go to the lobby'. I'd argue Kars and Esidisi are more evil than DIO anyday

Dio is actually not that evil, his end goal is to achieve "heaven" which is what he calls everyone in the world of JoJo knowing and accepting their fate and thus attaining inner peace. He just had to do some very funny things along the way, Pucci did carry out his work though.
