Hi Tyler, my name is . . . Quasimodo? at 1:50, the idea of using a rectangle to find a missing line to a vanishing point is not something I have ever heard of before, really cool. thanks for the tip. the same goes for using the "X" technique to make a ruler to create your grid is absolutely brilliant. again, something I have not heard but it so very useful.

Hey Tyler, love your work. Watched your video on the XP-Pen 22 Plus and was wondering if you were still using it/what your thoughts on it were. It's currently on sale so was considering getting it. Thanks.

Thank you! Yes I am still using it! Overall it's still great and I would generally recommend. The color calibration is a bit of a pain though, I find I have to tweak quite a bit between the XP-Pen settings and my graphic tablet settings, and I can only ever get "close enough". I get frustrated with it sometimes, but most of the time I just make final adjustments on my other monitor and it's okay, but I'm fairly easy-going with that kind of stuff. So that can be a big deal breaker for people. Unfortunately I haven't tried any Huion's or Xencelabs so I don't really have a comparison.

"Let's make a ruler." And then you draw a glyph. This technique is definitely witchcraft! Do the brushes also work in Krita and CSP?
@tylerbourneart4 ай бұрын
I thought I was just being lazy with the ruler lol. Not sure about the brushes in Krita or CSP. I did a quick search and it looks like ABR files (brushes) might be compatible with CSP, and the brush tips go into Krita, but no brush settings, but these brushes are just stamps anyway, so maybe? I'll do a bit of research and see if I can make official brush sets for those software, or find someone who can, and I'll update the Gumroad. Thanks for bringing this up!

@@tylerbourneart I tried importing the ABR files into Krita and these ones wouldn't work for me unfortunately. I've heard it's iffy with Krita specifically and I've gotten brushes in before but not always. If you make a tutorial on how to build the image we could make the stamps ourselves, they are just the line tool (transformed for the 5-point correct?)

I've made a brush bundle for Krita, and updated it on the Gumroad. I'm new to Krita, but the import and stuff worked with the new bundle. Krita does seem to have a brush size limit, which I don't love. Please feel free to download the new ones, and let me know what you think. If the fidelity doesn't work great for Krita, I may have to build new ones that work better at the smaller size, so any feedback will be appreciated! Thanks for the patience.
