The Ontario Southland Railway put on quite a show this afternoon when they busted some massive drifts along the line between Salford and St. Thomas, Ontario. This video will give you a sense of the immense power when steel and snow collide!

I had been contracting at a mill in Nothern Ontario and there is a rail line that leads right into the mill for trains to come and pick up the product. All winter long the rail line, which sits between my building and the mill, was left untouched so there was like 4 feet of snow in it. I was hoping they'd send a locomotive with a plow through there to plow it. I hoped to see that immense power. Alas, they ended up using a front loader to clean the tracks a few weeks ago. :( Damn. Well this video was damn cool anyway! Need to see more of this!

Good shot Ryan! Some of you people are very quick to assume. I'm sure the foamer knew what was going to happen, and was willing to take the consequence for an epic shot. Many photographers do much crazier shit, like some of those of work for National Geographic. Me personally though, if I stood that close, I would have ran much sooner.

It is my firm belief that this dolt should not be allowed around any moving machinery. Studies have proven that idiots who participate in shenanigans like this are far more likely to be killed by massive amounts of snow being forcefully driven by locomotives than people who don't.
