Another great video, that plow is the real thing for putting the drain pipe in with . I believe that you all are getting better using the plow and pretty much have it all figured out now and the 850J is awesome handling the plow with the new tracks on in . Great job !!! Congratulations to you and Mrs. DP on the 15th anniversary . I am looking forward to seeing more videos of the plow projects . I am going to be doing a little drain pipe project on my cousins farm and watching you all on these projects is really going to help me, so thanks for all the tips and explaining things good . They are going to rent me a smaller excavator and he already has a small dozer there on farm that I have been running for him doing several projects last fall and this spring . I will see you all later, so take care and stay safe and keep on digging and pushing dirt and plowing in pipe . As always, Jeffrey !!! 🤗👍💖💫

my .00001 cents worth, you designed and built a tool that saves a bunch of time and quite honestly is better for the fields as your not disturbing them as much. i have seen some of the comments though and sometimes people are not criticizing but instead offering suggestions worded in a way that can be missed. perspective matters. awesome job, i would be proud as hell to build something half that useful that isnt just software

I really don’t understand all the negative comments on the plow, it was working fine your explanation is outstanding and how the job goes and how the depths are buried and how it actually works! The videos show proof and the fact of how good they are along with the commentary of how the dips in the Rangers are also! I guess at the end of the day the proof is in the plowing! And it means another job done dirt perfect

I remember being where Matt was boot stuck in the mud don't miss those days. Was digging in a ditch once and it caved in on me, if it wasn't for the backhoe operator I wouldn't be here to day, was bent over working on the pipe and he yelled it caving in, I stood up and it caved in buried me up to my hips, dirt is very hevy. After that made sure every ditch I worked in was shored really well.

FYI: Aircraft fuel filters are required to be safety tied with safety wire...so it is impossible for them to come loose. I tighten both of our aircraft oil filters by hand only. On aircraft you are required to safety tie the oil filters in place with "safety wire". I hand tighten all of our oil filters...including our vehicles...never had a problem and I am in my late 60's.

I was an Air Force jet mechanic in the early 80's and we safety wired every external bolt on the engine . It was not possible for any bolt to loosen or fall off without cutting the wire . There were also two different inspections of the safety wired bolts before the engines were installed .

Mike, if the PLC controller for the laser, depth system is robust enough, you could add level inputs to it. This would enable you, by geometry, to raise and lower the plow based on the position of the dozer.

Thanks Mike, You and Mat make a great team! The plow works well but I'm noticing that as the pipe goes over the top edge of the hopper, the pipe stretches a bit and then goes over and down the Shute. I wonder if one of your 135 thousand subscribers is an engineer and could speak to the benefit of adding greaseable rollers to the top left and right of the hopper? I'm just not sure how hard you can pull on that pipe before it let's go. Cheers from Canada.

Hey guys, what about making a "mud platform" to work from that could be set & retrieved with the ex and keep the mud off your clothes. Add a yard or two of crusher run around the stand pipe. That'll "hold" the pipe and let you come back to it if you need to add or adjust later. Great system! Finished product Looks great, mud & all. You and your "spotter" work well together. Thanks for all the videos of your operations, builds, projects, etc. You are very versatile in what you are able to do/accomplish. On your big project, please give an in-depth explanation on how the laser helps keep you on grade/ maintain a given slope of pipe over undulating topography and great distances. Assume lazer beam is “horizontal”. Does “receiver” allow you to adjust depth to maintain the needed/set slope as you move toward the projected end of run?
