Oh you can pick them out with your fingers,I know this for a fact. But the bug to knit ratio is way off. There would be many more knits. The bugs are being placed for video purposes. They get a few here and there from kids until there's a large amount then place a bunch in someone's hair then make the video. I say this cause I know someone will ask, 'where do they get the bugs' if they are placed for the purpose of a video.

You can pick out head lice, it takes a long time if there is a large infestation but for a few it works well, rubbing hair conditioner or oil onto the hair from scalp to tip helps dislodge the eggs which can then be Combed out. Wearing gloves makes it much harder to pick at the lice so are not appropriate in this case. Follow correct hand washing procedures both before and after picking.
