This song really speaks to me. God has been chasing me all my life. And while I was living my life, not honoring Him, He still blessed me and protected me, and blanketed me in His love. It took me until the age of 36 to realize that I needed Him, that my way wasn't working. I still am overwhelmed that I can be loved so much. And I don't have to do anything to receive it. Other that accept it.

As a parent, I can honestly say God works through your relationship with your children, your emotions and even your struggles to show you who He is. So many times I have looked back on something that happened with my kids, and a Bible story was much more clear or I understood God in a way I never had before. As for Plumb...wasn't she suffering from an anxiety disorder? That would affect her reaction to her son. There are support groups through NAMI or Circle of Parents that can help.

I work in children's ministries at my own church (Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, AWANA, etc), and I can't tell you how many times a child has said something amazingly profound, way beyond his/her years.
