I just wanted to thank you for making being introverted normal and okay to me. I’m in the middle of the uni, in my twenties, young and healthy. I have a lot of friends that are extroverted, that love to party and going out a lot. While I enjoy it as well and don’t feel a need to do that as often as they do. I get questions why I waste my time in uni and being young not partying. And I wonder sometimes if I’m actually normal, if this is normal for a young woman. Watching you being completely okay with not needing to meet friends every minute, partying every night, being happy just staying in and doing what you actually love is really inspiring to me. That exterior wall pattern irl I’ve seen called siding, clatting, and clapboard. It’s very plasticky, gets dirty very easily, and is all around terrible. But it’s cheap, so it gets used all the time in new and quickly-built neighborhoods with cheap houses. Whenever I see it, I’m triggered. 10/10 gorgeous build. Would repaint, then live in.

This entire house gives me strong "previous owner of my house" vibes. The guy who lived in my house before me thought he was quite the handyman. He was not. This house is full of interesting surprises that no one asked for (for example, my kitchen floor is three different colors and its not on purpose. If I could attach a photo I would). If you want to experience some American cold, come visit Chicago in January/Februaury. Extra points for doing so during a polar vortex. Temps can feel like -30s C for days and the coldest windchill I've experienced is -45 C. We also have hot summers by uk standards... But more seriously, you may enjoy the industrial vibe of large parts of the city. Fun fact, most of Chicago burned down in 1871. It was a gritty town without much want or need for a fancy things like libraries, but when Queen Victoria heard about the fire, her heart was apparently touched by all the "lost books." She, but actually mostly Thomas Hughes, arranged for hundreds of books to be sent, but there was no real place to put them on account of the whole city just burning down so they stuck them in a water tower. And that is the industrial town story of how Chicago got its first public library from people in the southeast of England who really didn't seem to get its vibe or needs. (I've got to admit, it was a kind gesture though)
