my toilet has a 3.25 O.D DWV pipe, is this considered a 3" pipe?
@davidmarquardt9034Ай бұрын
Pipe is sized by its inside diameter because this determines the flow rate. But their are different wall sizes called Schedules. Sch 40 is a very common wall thickness, but there is 20 and 30 (thinner) and 80 (thicker than 40). So a sch 40 3 in inside, wall thickness 1/8 x 2 = 3 1/4 O.D.
