🙏 what a relief that it isn’t anything too awful. I think the indigo looks a good fit on you especially on the shoulders/upper chest and suits you. I’m short with a bigger bust and I have to make a lot of similar adjustments that you make, shoulders,neckline,bust, length etc. I’m so pleased that Tilly is releasing patterns with more size inclusivity in mind - I’m guessing her new pattern book will also address this. I really enjoy these collaborations. I'm glad you were able to get a comfortable fit on your tops. I really love it when I get a versatile pattern to fit me well, especially in a woven bodice! After I have the fit down, I can just have fun sewing. I am totally in the magnesium camp with you. It has so many good benefits to the body. I do hope you get definitive results soon and can get your issues addressed quickly. I think the stress of waiting on results is really hard on the mind and body. I used wool and washed it first. So it is thick and dense. I love the way the jacket turned out. I used Hong Kong seams for the first time. The arm hole seams are a little bulky, but otherwise it is a great make. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Claire great news that your results show you haven’t got cancer, what a relief ❤️. I have just completed a twirl for the chalk and notch fringe dress/blouse. I really like it there are a few alterations I have to do but I will be making that up very soon. When I make it up I will do pleats and not gathering as it just makes me look bigger. I’m not sure about the top you have done though it’s lovely on you I need a deeper neckline. Take care of yourself xx Carol

I have this pattern but not made it yet.. My favourite of yours is the blue one but then blue is my colour. I've made the Southbank Sweater and it is my favourite make of 2019. It is the comfiest thing I have ever worn and want to where it everywhere. One thing though, I can't actually feel it over my winter tights and because it is shorter than I normally wear I find myself keep checking that it hasn't rode up my legs lol 😁 I would like to see you go through the Tilly book. I have the stretch book but I haven't bought this one yet. So good to see you are feeling better. Great news about the cancer ♥

Great news! I do find no news is usually good news, it shows on your face you look a lot better. I to have digestive probs, everyone s different, it finding what triggers you off! Really might try the Indigo, I tend to avoid that style too as with a big bust feel it makes me look bigger it looks really nice on you and for something comfy looks a winner

Thank you Janice. Yeah I have many many digestive issues due to ME and have done elimination diets in the past to work it out. What I've got going on atm is very different. Drs kept telling me it was ibs for 18 months but I knew it was more. I have a tumour growing on my lesser duct in my ampulla, which means its causing blockages at my pancreas and thus causing pain when I eat. The magnesium is really helping though. Thanks for your support and compliments x

I love the dress and know what you mean about adjustments...it is so satisfying when they work and you get a good fit. I have to do a fba and lengthen everything just for starters.. I have a rtw top in a very similar style to this which I have worn and worn and yours are even better because ...good fabric! colour! pattern! Yes to working through the tilly book and please consider sharing the cashmerette cardy pattern...I want to know what you think before I shell out. So glad your health news is less scary. Have you had any surgery previously? I've had quite a bit of surgery over my lifetime and I have to say, my experiences have improved every time. The level of care and what they know about how to manage pain and anaesthetics is incredible. I've come out of surgeries so well, despite being heavily overweight and having a number of issues. I know the health care system in the UK is probably even better than here in Australia. Even when I was at my heaviest...132kg...I came out of surgery so much better than I ever expected.

Hi Georgiana, I've had only one minor surgery before, and was put to sleep but it was a long time ago. I am very fearful of being put to sleep now, partly due to the ME and partly due to my weight. I've done some research and apparently they often will do the procedure I will need by putting a tube down the throat and I am hoping that is what they'll decide on this time. It's not nice but preferable to being put under imo. But we will see what the consultant says. Thanks for your reassuring words x

I’ve had a few surgeries and procedures with a tube down my throat and I’m still overweight. I should be 65-70kg but am 94kg. You can feel confident nowadays as they do so many of these surgeries.
