I'm plus size and was a Bridal Consultant for 11 years. I worked for 3 different companies and there were a maximum of 3/4 plus size dresses in each shop. None of the other consultants had a clue what a plus size bride might be feeling, what would look good or how to treat them. In the end they used to give me all the beautiful big girls. It's a very daunting experience, but there are places and people who know exactly how to help xx

30 yrs ago when I got married, being a size 20-22, an H bra cup and 6' tall, it was such a horrible experience to find a dress. I drove 200 miles to find a "bridal" shoppe that said they had plus sizes......they did......3 dresses that were horrific. I ended up in a bar.....no joke! Thank God I do have a custom sewing business and was able to make my own.....how wonderful there are options now!!

I've had a very good experience and could highly recommend' About a bride ' it's a small boutique that is 16+ up to size 50 something . They close the shop for you so you can wonder on your own . I got a beautiful blush , sparkly dress at 800 pounds . It's lovely , I'm getting married in March 2020 . They have loads of different dresses. It's in Fenny Stratford ( near Milton Keynes ) xxcc

I am not engaged nor am I getting married anytime soon. About a year ago I saw a gorgeous wedding dress on torrid and I just couldn't pass it by. So I purchased it. I absolutely love it and do not regret it. Lol Your actual wedding dress and the third dress are both stunning.

This video is so relatable to me right now. I'm getting married in April. I'm also from the Midlands and I visited a little shop called Lily-Rose Bridal in Kenilworth. They specialise in dresses for curvier people and they couldn't be nicer people in there. I found my dream dress whilst also feeling so special, comfortable and welcomed. I hated every other dress shop I went to because you're either size 10 or irrelevant. Lily-Rose Bridal in Kenilworth is the place to go in the Midlands in my opinion 🥰

My wife went to the same shop in Birmingham it was horrendous. The staff promised they could and would alter her dress. Then after she'd payed for it they then said they couldn't. They also refused to refund her money or cooperate in any way. They took advantage of her vulnerability, her lack of confidence and self worth and after 3 years they still have her dress and her money. She can't even collect her dress even if she had the confidence to do so because they wanted to charge her storage fees. They are despicable people.

I had a vile wedding dress experience but ended better if that makes sense lol!! I went to a shop had all my measurement done and the lady said i need a size 34 in this dress I'm normally 20 but because it was coming from china had to be bigger! order that then week later the company went bust and i had no wedding dress! this was 3 months before we were getting married! Ended up going to a place called David's bridal in Birmingham, they were amazing! From the 1st appointment to the last one amazing and even sent a card when we got married! All in all i still hated the dress shopping too many mirrors lol xx You looked amazing in those dresses xx

Im obsessed with curvy brides boutique. The 3 dresses are a good cheap option for someone however the first 2 definitely look cheap and they give you zero support. The 3rd dress isnt too bad but i definitely wouldnt choose them for my wedding personally. Your own wedding dress is gorgeous 💗

When I was getting married because of my size I literally went to one shop found a dress that was bigger than my size and bought it Wasn't what I was looking for at all but because of my size I was embarrassed and uncomfortable to try somewhere else. so I just rush bought.
