Also just a tip! Her fur might of been sticky bc of the dish soap. Dish soap is made for dishes and hard surfaces and not for soft materials :) i wash mine with shampoo which makes then really soft since its made for human hair so its great for plush! 💞

Hi! I make/work on plushies too! While watching, I was actually working on making an espeon plushie. (I sew all my plushies by hand.) Its cool to see another youtuber who likes to make things! :3 Storm turned out so cute!

Heat is nor good for fake fur so make sure when you do that to put it on low heat. I accidentally put my stuffie in the dryer once and his fur was all melted because fur is made of plastic!

I really don't know much about plushie cleaning but I do know fabric softener isn't good for your clothes. It puts wax inti them and it accumulates in the material and makes it so they don't wash clean. I worry that it might somehow damage plushies as well.

I know I am so late! But I recently Adopted a cat (plush! Ofc!) that needed a LOT of TLC! I followed your same steps! It worked so well, Ginger, (the stuffy) is getting along so well with our other plushies! She even looks like Storm! But... Brown!

I put newer plush animals like this one into a washing machine with cold water and minimal laundry detergent. Then of course air dry.

I mostly wash bigger plushies when it's warm outside.

I think maybe after you let it air dry for a while you could seal it in a container with desiccant packs. They absorb all the moisture and help prevent mold I use them for storing clothes and I think it could help with this.
