Honestly every time I’ve had this placement, the ascendant person is obsessed with me. That’s because Pluto operates subconsciously. The ascendant is your physical body..your personality. Your ascendant is the most felt placement in your chart because it is essentially you. So the ascendent is very much conscious and aware of their obsession for the pluto person. I find only once the relationship is over does the pluto person truly begin to experience plutonian themes such as withdraw, possessiveness, obsessiveness, transformation etc. Once the relationship ends, it forces the subconscious feelings of pluto person to surface as they process 8th house things such as grief/loss. And of course the ascendent is experiencing this as well, because they are continuously aware of the effects pluto person has on them.

Me and my partner have such intense synastry. 4,8th and 12th house, but the way people are explaining their experience seems like me and my partner are comfortable in these energies . We have these intense placements ourselves so it didnt feel as dramatic and toxic as others . It feels as though were intensely growing together with each other but more healthy . In the beginning it was rocky because we didnt know each other well but we're getting there .
