The fact that the railways are privatised in this country really annoys me. It's absolutely ridiculous that train companies get money from the government and then go on to make private profit. Because most people have little choice but to use whichever train line exists, they're able to put the prices insanely high and have almost no incentive to keep the trains in good order/on time/clean. It's also infuriating that for some lines you have to buy tickets literally months in advance to stand a chance of not being ripped off - we have to plan visits to my in-laws two months in advance, whereas to visit my parents costs the same whether we buy in advance or on the day. The whole system is a perfect example of why we shouldn't sell off stuff where there is no competition.

It genuinely makes me so angry, I'm the same - and the reason I can't see my friends in London much anymore (!!!!) is because it costs at least £70 each time. I wish I could put emoji in here, it would be the angry one.

I'm not sure I would enjoy the pixel craft either. I rather like counting my stitches and have a bit more brain work as well.
