From what I've heard and seen it's sort of half and half, like a lot of non-domestics in North America, they get treated poorly by some, praised by others. Same goes for American cars, I've seen pictures of these classics rotting away in driveways, while a good majority of them are restored, driving and treated well. I kind of noticed that Europeans take better care of their classic American cars than in N.A. because they know the rarity and value of them, and love them more than their domestics

It's a half and half thing in Europe, alot of people rip on Muscle Cars because they are slow and heavy, but the other half are in-love with American cars and always talk to me about owning one or importing a project. (I'm in Canada, but have had offers for my cars alot by people from Europe).
