Thank you Yaniv. We have simply respected exactly what Tchaikovsky wrote. It is good remember that 1880 version, the one that is now in repertoire, was the third version and that the first two, included the original 1869, were not well received. I have always wondered the reason considering that this is a real masterpiece. Then you open the score and see 522 bars in which the drammatic stretch is very dominant but above all you see this: A - Introduction by 111 bars ✅ Andante non tanto, quasi Moderato poco a poco stringendo 78-89 bars Allegro 90-95 bars Molto meno mosso 96-105 bars stringendo 106-111 bars B - Main part (love theme) by 373 bars ✅ Allegro giusto C - Finale by 38 bars ✅ Moderato assai 111 + 373 + 38 = 522 bars I would like to say many things about this wonderful piece but like Tchaikovsky himself said: "Where words leave off, Music begins" 😊

Fine interpretation but too slow for my taste and there are some balance issues and also the dynamics is quite weak too i think when the tempo is so consistent and precise all the time it’s lack of that driving force, as this is a program music the story of Romeo and Juliet the violence romance going back and forth the dynamic and tempo is very important in telling the story
