PLZDOT X Angry Birds: Are They Any Good? - Merchandise Review & Unboxing

These are honestly the best angry birds figures we've had in years. They actually try to stay true to the classic designs( or I guess the Chrome versions), and the amount of effort and detail that was put into this is surprising considering how small the figures are. Plus while all the birds are relatively similar in size they still went to the effort of making Terence the biggest and the blues the smallest. And the variations of pigs is astounding. Sure, you have the matal figures which are a lot larger in have more accurate seeling and the old Commonwealth figures which while not exactly very accurate still have their charm. These are honestly really good and the quality is really good too. Honestly, hoping that in series 2, they'll add more characters like bubbles and have more variations for the birds like different expressions or the space versions.

I really like the frozen pigs, they really did an amazing job with the colors. I especially like how King Pig's crown is a little transparent, that's a nice touch!

37:01 if they make a series 2; Bubbles, Stella, Helmet Pig should be there. Because of the frozen pigs I suspect that space birds might be there as well, so....... Sereis 2: Bubbles, Inflated Bubbles[this one is a little unlikely but a guy can dream] Stella, Happy Stella* , Helmet Pig(injured, one eye, two eyes, two eyes happy), Space Red, Lazer Bird, Fire Bomb, Lightning Blues, Monster Terence, Atomic Bubbles, Icebird, Mighty Eagle{again, super unlikely}+everyone gold +frozen helmet pig and his variants. *I know this is a non-plush video, but I have some BIG questions. So for starters I live in the Caribbean, so AB merch was already rare, I woouldnt consider myself a collector but there was one time in 2019 where I snagged a bunch. In that set was a Stella, who had a HAPPY expression, like the one from the birdday set but closed mouth. Something interesting to note is that it had a tag with "Boingo toys" , this and my Hal had it. Am I in possession of some rare merch or is it a knock-off? (Its tush-tag is normal 2013, white and white)

Sega has nothing to do with this and will continue to have nothing to do with this. This is the result of a good brand licensing department, identifying opportunities with international brands. These brands need to be willing to take on AB and pay for the license.

Idk if you'll ever review it,but in my country(Brazil)back in the golden era there were 3 figurine sets distributed in a magazine called "recreio",There was one set for the original game,one set for AB rio that added a few new birds and one set for AB space,they are really high quality and I hope you discuss them in some way!Tho they're really hard to get nowadays cuz the magazine is dead /:

I come from an era where it was always known as the "blind bag." Never saw boxes as a kid. But I get times have changed, lol.

@@MaximusOverdrive I mean, ever since about 2010 Blindboxes have been commonplace with popular brands (Fie Nights at Freddy's, My Little Pony, Sonic, Mario, etc.) Blindbags were mostly common around 2013-2016 when children's toy companies were being attacked over how much waste was with Blindboxes (Most common brands I've seen are My Little Pony, Nickelodeon shows, Cartoon Network shows, etc.) Both have mostly been faded out however Funko still releases Blindboxes for their franchises occasionally though it's mostly FNaF now. Blindbags haven't been all that common since about 2016-2018.

@@ViviHayashi - Being an AB guy, MZB was a perfect example of a company who did blind bags from 2012-2013. Hangers, danglers, erasers--you name it! All blind bag. Used to collect LEGO when I was a kid too. First dozen or so series of collectible minifigs were blind bag. Even sports cards are sold in foil packs, which can be considered a "blind bag." That's just my 2 cents.

55:40 haha nerd time i'm fairly certain it's the item code for the single pack that he came in. smaller figures like hal and the blues usually don't have em 59:38 In slingshot stories it's closer to CWT, ab go's 3d model (and kinda by extension toons) seems closer to Mattel, in the films it is round. 1:05:02 nervous? 1:09:40 I feel like the gloss on the beak fits well, considering his ingame sprites depict his beak as really shiny 1:11:45 I feel like PLZdot terence would scale sorta well to the mzb figs, and the mattel terence to mzb 1:45:31 it's basically nonexistent but if you know where to look in bundles u can get it like once in a blue moon

@ Both of my frozen pigs have it, a foreman, bomb, red and a minion also do. They all end in CG, which is probably the classification for the non-playset figures. The back of my Hal/Blue/CHP 3-pack has a different number to the pig himself but still ends in CG..

Words cannot describe how sad it is that Commonwealth fucked up the original Hal figure as bad as they did, his feathers feel way too big, his eyes are so far out (and that doesn’t even make sense since in the actual artwork for him his eyes are touching the beak ring) and he’s too light of a green too (also they didn’t even capture the darker ring around his stomach feathers either, really sucks since if you’re an original Hal fan, all you got for merch is his plush and basically only poorly made bootlegs)
