PM-DAKSH Skill Training Grant- For NGO, Training Center & Colleges 2024

PM Daksh stands for Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi Yojana. It's a skill development initiative launched by the Government of India. Who can apply for the grant?
The PM Daksh grant is available for institutions, not individuals. Here are the eligible applicants:
Government and Private Training Institutes: These institutes need to be empanelled with the government for the scheme. There was a recent call for Expression of Interest (EOI) in May 2024 for empanelment for the 2024-25 financial year [Expression of Interest for PM Daksh Training Institutes].
NGOs: Specific information on NGO eligibility for the grant amount itself isn't readily available on government websites. However, NGOs can play a role by collaborating with empanelled training institutes to identify and train beneficiaries.
What are the benefits of the grant?
The PM Daksh grant offers several benefits:
Free training: The trainees receive free skill development training funded by the government grant.
Stipend: Trainees with good attendance (usually above 80%) can receive a monthly stipend of ₹ 1,000/- to ₹ 1,500/- for short-term and long-term programs.
Wage compensation: For reskilling or upskilling programs, trainees with good attendance may be eligible for wage compensation of ₹ 3,000/- per month.
Certification: Upon successful completion of the training and assessment, candidates receive a skill development certificate.
Placement assistance: The scheme may also provide placement assistance to the trained candidates.

Since the grant is for training institutions, individual applications aren't possible. Here's how it works:
Training institutes: If you are a training institute, you should check if you are already empanelled with the government for PM Daksh. If not, you can look for future calls for EOI ([Expression of Interest for PM Daksh Training Institutes]).
NGOs: NGOs can collaborate with empanelled training institutes to identify and train potential beneficiaries from their target communities.
