*KUSUM Scheme* The *Ministry of New and Renewable Energy* has formulated a Scheme *‘Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (KUSUM)’.* The proposal on *KUSUM* Scheme provides for :- (i) installation of grid-connected solar power plants each of Capacity up to 2 MW in the rural areas; (ii) installation of standalone off-grid solar water pumps to fulfil irrigation needs of farmers not connected to grid; and (iii) solarisation of existing grid-connected agriculture pumps to make farmers independent of grid supply and also enable them to sell surplus solar power generated to DISCOM and get extra income. Source of the Information : *PIB* *(Press Information Bureau)* . *नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय* ने एक योजना बनाई है *KUSUM* *(किसान ऊर्जा सुरक्षा एवं उत्थान महाभियान)* कुसुम योजना का उद्देश्य: - (i) ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में 2 मेगावाट तक की ग्रिड से जुड़े सौर ऊर्जा संयंत्रों की स्थापना; (ii) ग्रिड से जुड़े किसानों की सिंचाई जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए स्टैंडअलोन ऑफ-ग्रिड सौर जल पंपों की स्थापना; तथा (iii) किसानों को ग्रिड आपूर्ति से स्वतंत्र बनाने के लिए मौजूदा ग्रिड से जुड़े कृषि पंपों का सौरीकरण(solarisation) और उन्हें DISCOM को उत्पन्न अधिशेष सौर ऊर्जा को बेचने और अतिरिक्त आय प्राप्त करने में सक्षम बनाना। *DISCOM* : Distribution Company *DISCOM बिजली वितरण करने वाली कंपनी हैं.*

though I am no one to criticize and maybe not even eligible, but instead of just doing criticism I would like to put three observations here: 1. Pronunciation. 2. Too many factual numbers, which might not be necessary. 3. Better topic flow(Problem,this solution, benefits and flaws, opinion) and better ppts.

Irrigation cycle don't match in North India. Farmers can't irrigate only with solar in summer. For example In Haryana Mustered and Wheat are two major crops during November to March and both needs heavy irrigation during winter.
