In today's episode of India Upfront with anchor Padmaja Joshi, Times Now's prime-time debate show discusses the last phase of elections and exit polls. The silence is speaking louder than words as it creates chaos in the post-campaign period. On the second day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi meditated at Kanniyakumari's Vivekananda Memorial. Today, we saw pictures of PM Modi meditating in Dhyan Mandapam and offering prayers to the Sun. BJP is now saying that in 1892, Swami Vivekananda also meditated in Kanniyakumari for three days, and now Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meditating at the same place.

Some people are talking about cameras. They must remember that the world came to know about Mahatma Gandhi in a sense because of his friendship with several Western photographers and journalists who were constantly embedded in his ashrams, says Hindol sengupta.

Hindol Sengupta, acting as a historian, mistakenly believed he was the sole proprietor of Swami Vivekananda's writings. However, Kumarazaman Choudhury accurately quoted Swami Vivekananda's words without any fabrication. Sengupta incorrectly accused Choudhury of lying, when in fact, Choudhury was merely reciting Vivekananda's own statements. Sengupta, in turn, told a lie by claiming Choudhury was lying. This is a clear case of Sengupta's dishonesty, as Choudhury's quotes were indeed from Vivekananda's own words.

Mr. Hindola Sengupta, just because you are a historian, it does not mean that whatever you say is automatically true. Objectivity is what matters, regardless of one's credentials. Don't boast about your position as a historian - there have been many great historians before you. Simply being a historian does not make you the "father of history" or give you the authority to demand that others accept your views without question.

Ms. Padmaja Joshi, you seem overly concerned about the opposition calling Modi a "camera Jeevi'." That's why you showed photo clips of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to justify Modi's penchant for posing for photos. Ms. Padmaja, there is a significant difference between Modi posing for photos and others posing for photos. Your news channels advertise it even before Modi actually goes to meditate. Your channels project it as if Modi is doing something great, whereas you show others' photos for criticizing or mocking. Modi meditates for publicity and to portray himself as a great Hindu devotee to the world. However, the opposition is not meditating to show themselves as great devotees. They pose for photos merely to report to the public.
