Yes, it's true that many Ukrainian rulers of USSR improved USSR relations with India .It's sad that Ukrainians and Russians are fighting each other today. I know so many Ukrainians living happily in Russia and i also know few Russians living happily in Ukraine .i think there's a hope that one day everything will be fine between the 2 ethnicities, they even had same ancestors about 800 years ago and both claim origins from kiev region .

The war needs to stop but not with Ukraine losing its independence. They deserve to be a free nation, not occupied by Russia. Poland understands it. I hope that India too based on PM’s Modi speech. Poland was never an ally of Soviet Union. It was occupied by Russia since they attacked us in 1939 with Hitler until 1989 when Poland became an independent country.

To give you some context: Russia has always been to Poland what Britain was to India with one difference - Today Britain is not an imperial country and it doesn’t attack India’s neighbours, it doesn’t threat India with nuclear annihilation. Russia unfortunately does all those things to Poland. It’s an imperial colonial state and we want them to keep their business and their troops in their own land. We don’t trust Russians to behave humanly towards us because they confirm our stance with their aggression over and over again. They annihilated 20% of our population hand in hand with Hitler during WWII and Communism and they committed such atrocities as murdering our intelligentsia in Katyń Massacre and lied about it (They said that Nazis did it), they sent our people to gulags in Siberia (forced labour camps like the ones in North Korea) and they committed public executions and engineered famine.
