I remember an incident, coincidently from JNU, I was there to visit a friend of mine.. some guys were just talking about muslims (and why one must keep distance from them) in the washroom, not accusing them of anything coz it could be just for fun.. but when I entered they became a little concious and said, "..yeh bhi miyan hi hoga.." and looked at me if did not hear anything.. hoping that I'm not one of them.. I said, looking at them, "..haa, yeh kaise pataa chalta haii.." And they couldn't face me. I'm not a muslim but for the first time in my life I somehow wanted to portray myself as one ki agar hu bhi toh kya kar lega.. It's not about Religion, if I'm attacked for being a Rajasthani, or Kashmiri, I'll fight as a Rajasthani or kashmiri.. as simple as that.
