The first visuals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi meditating in Kanniyakumari, show him in a trance, in front of a statue of philosopher-saint Swami Vivekananda. PM Modi will meditate at the Vivekananda Rock memorial till the evening of June 1. The Prime Minister is meditating at the Dhyan Mandapam, the same spot where Swami Vivekananda had meditated in 1892 to get a clear vision of the future of India. Prime Minister Modi wrapped up a hectic 75-days long election campaign and headed to Kanniyakumari before the results are counted on June 4. He is continuing with his tradition of winding up his election campaigns with a meditation retreat.

Demographic dividend is not only about number of persons but it is all about how effective those number of people are contributing to our economy. Let us consider two periods: Current Period: Productive Population, say, 100 with effectiveness score of 30 and they will produce a result of 3,000 (100 x 30). Say in 15 Years say our Proudctive Population has fallen to 60 but with effectiveness score of 80 and now that reduced population will produce a result of 4,800 (60 x 80). Unfortunately, politicians and hair brained arm chair Economists are falsly talking about Demographic Dividend coming only from Numbers instead of that coming from Numbers as well as Effectiveness.
