Yeah, I agree with you, especially because the world is slowly turning against China, we would've had a huuuge edge if we had already developed the basic infra for this. However, we must also consider that we had many basic things to address back then. But let's not lose hope. It's never too late.

Suggestion ) modi ji if u are seeing me then you have confident in indian researcher then why you are still want tech transfer in making aeroplane, and fighter engine, these critical technology just need govt support for a period and result will come in decade and so, we are confident show us your confident and we will roar in global tech race in these two thing as if war happen we should have capabilities to build our own fighter jet which have engine and we dont know how to make that as our kaveri program was not enough, but why not revive that thing with build atmosphere, you have that thing to make thing possible. Private aeroplanes, passenger aircraft, fighter jet, passenger fighter jet etc we need all these and humans have done that who are global north but global south leader india also start thinking and action about this, this program can generate 20lakh jobs if thing go well and private companies should be also there in this to boost pace in race

Tech transfer is required because we want things on short period of time. We cannot delay again for 20-40 years for same thing which is already available. Research is not a short time thing. Making things from scratch takes decades and sometimes centuries. Global North countries were never a colony Or got independence more than 100 years. China copy pasted these things but we can't because we follow copyrights. That's why tech transfer to bring available tech in lesser span of time.
