PM Modi’s ‘Hate Speech’: Over 17,000 Citizens Write To EC Seeking Action

The Election Commission of India (ECI) is reportedly reviewing complaints lodged against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent rally speech in Rajasthan. Concerns were raised by various political parties, including the Congress and the CPIM, regarding Modi's remarks about the Congress party's manifesto and allegations of inciting communal tensions.
A letter signed by 17,000 citizens says that “Modi’s speech is not only appealing to ‘communal feelings’ but also instigating and aggravating hatred in the Hindus against Muslims.”
The Congress had formally submitted a complaint to the ECI, asserting that Modi's statements misrepresented their manifesto.
