Just great!!! Had the wonderful opportunity to listen to the son of India speaking for the first time from the ramparts of the Red Fort. Well orchestrated address, heralding the new era.. Felt really really glad that there was a welcome departure from the colonial custom of taking the ‘freedom’ of the PM away by keeping the PM enclosed in a bullet-proof enclosure on the eve of the "Independence" Day!! As the electrifying address was going on, I had the fortune of scribbling what the vibrant and visionary PM was mentioning... on a small note book I had grabbed from a small table in my house... I am happy, I could jolt down the key points he had mentioned, like...my pradhan sevak hoo, nahi pradhan mantri; many governments under one government; two departments of the same government fighting cases against each other in the Supreme Court; Government servants attending office on time making news now a days, which is a shameful matter; mera kya, mujhe kya; jan dhan yojna; concern about the welfare of the girl child that parents should question their sons, not their daughters; come, make in India; zero defect..zero effect; digital india; gifting a clean India to the Mahatma on his 150th birth anniversary next Oct 02; dignity of women..toilets in all schools in one year; sansad aadarsh yojna, strengthening the federal structure of the country; a 10-year moratorium on violence and bloodshed; marnewale se jyada bachanevale hota hai; if you work for 12 hours, I will work for 13 hours, if you work for 16 hours i will work for 17 hours; e-governance means easy, effective and economical governance; and finally and very rightly, winding up the planning commission and replacing this now irrelevant body with a new institution!!!! In a nutshell, the address had very rightly put before the globe what india needs and what india aims at...a welcome departure from the earlier routine and monotonic addresses from this historic place. Wanted to share this historic address with the audience from the dais who assembled on the eve of the I-Day celebrations in my office (western coalfields ltd at nagpur) at around 10 am today, where no one else present might have listened to the full address and prepared a quick note as i made; spoke to the organizers... alas, denied permission by the organizers... Okay, so I am in middle of this video and can't resist congratulating and thanking our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for awakening a fresh spirit inside all of us. Such a strong, spontaneous,evocative and inspiring speech (backed up by his 15 years of public life's positive track record as politician & CM) from Red Fort we all are blessed with after 10 years of long wait. I have always avoided his speeches because of my ignorance, presumptions, prejudices and absolutely wrong and misleading projections by opposition parties, media and world media. Today I realize how wrong I was. I have never known this encompassing, accommodative, visionary and humanitarian aspect of our PM. Cosmic respect for him! We are proud of you NaMo! In the time from when I started watching this video to the time that it finished, the views almost doubled. One might see it as the effect of the popularity of Mr. Modi along with the importance of the day itself, but I believe that it is truly due to the fact that the speech was very inspirational, action-oriented and underlining inclusive governance. A great speech modiji.. I have one difficulty however. You spoke of youth getting into manufacturing those products which are imported at the moment. We should aim becoming an export oriented country. There is however a problem that lies here and that being the "COST OF MANUFACTURING" Lot of different costs involve including taxes & other hidden costs that make the price of finished product higher than that we could import from countries like China. Our Govt. has to look into this issue carefully and help decrease the various costs involved so that the youth are encouraged to step into manufacturing industry. Youth are waiting for these things to fall in place. We are with you & we are always for our great nation. Youth of India..

Great thoughts! 1. Gratitude towards all our previous governments You gave respect to all our previous governments showed your honesty. It is like we can look far by standing on the shoulders of giants. We all know how our last government suck prosperity of my great INDIA, but still I hope they have done at least something good for our nation; and I respect for only good things they have done. 2. Talk about the most dreadful act of rape Yes, I completely agree with your thoughts that every parent should ask their son the same questions which they normally ask to their daughters. Why such partiality between boys and girls? Whenever I get any news of rape, it makes my blood boil. It brings tears in my eyes… 3. Female foeticide I just want to ask those families who kills unborn girl child, with whom their son will marry if everyone will kill their unborn daughters like them? Just think! 4. Questions about Commonwealth Games Sir, I have a question arising in my mind regarding Commonwealth games. Here we are celebrating our 68th Independence Day and still why we are taking part in Commonwealth games? According to my thinking, it is not prestigious to take part in Commonwealth. British rule was nightmare for us and now when we have got freedom from them then why should we show ourselves as “yes, once we were part of your territory”?! 5. India is young I like your approach “Come, make in India”. And want to improve that line “Made in India”, let’s say “Proudly made in India”. Whatever we do, let’s do it world best; then only we can say “Proudly made in India”. 6. Digital India! Great concept Really very necessary to survive in future world. 7. Cleanliness in our nation Yes, this is the perfect start to improve our country. If everyone make their surroundings clean, it will be easy to make whole country clean. It is not only government’s responsibility to keep cities and villages clean. This is responsibility of each and every individual. Why don’t you throw garbage in dustbins? At least do that for nation…
