PM: TTYD - Getting Bobbery Early - Glitch Experiment

Useful glitch with no real side effects.
Although not shown in the video, it's possible to have Bobbery during Chapter 2 if you perform Cage Skip. That way you can have your party at Ultra Rank against Magnus or start a 5 HP challenge run like Level -1 or Danger Mario even earlier.

An interesting thing you can do while still in chapter 6 is if you complete Frankie's trouble and get the gold card, you can start a "Danger Mario" run as early as chapter 3. That is if you pour all your coins into piantas at the pianta parlour and only upgrade BP.

Yeah, that's a way to make the game broken. But it's cheap and boring to do, and not fun in my opinion.

ummm on my screen i did it perfectly but there is no ember where flavio and bobbery are!!! ive been at this for 3 hours just to find out theres no ember! can someone please explain

Either you're just not doing it correctly, or you've already gotten Bobbery in your party.

Koop nope it was some weird glitch that made the ember unload because I went into chapter 6 for a few minutes. . . i wasn't even in a chapter 6 state but rather chapter 3 but after exiting through the blue pipe and coming back it was fine. . . also going to chapter 4 while riding yoshi gave me a NoMessages (English) and I got soft locked lol

Only before the fight with Rawk Hawk. For some reason, the game has a check there where it removes any NPC following Mario.

Do you have to have yoshi for this? I see in your description that you can do this in chapter 2, but obviously you don't have yoshi in chapter 2

You need Yoshi to get Bobbery. However, if you did Cage Skip in Chapter 2, you can get Bobbery during Chapter 3, and then revert to Chapter 2 with him and Yoshi by hitting the panel in the cage room. That's what I meant in the description.

If you do everything correctly, then No. Do anything Incorrectly however, and you might get stuck in a later Chapter without having Vivian which means you can't beat the Game.

This Glitch is not working for me, I'm doing the tattle thing with Goombella, but Mario is not moving from the spot, not even an inch.. Any pointers?

i am getting every single thing right except for the final step, the dropping down/hitting bobbery. I am lined up correctly (as far as i can see) )but i miss every time. I am tapping up, then holding down as soon as the brown ground is gone. got any tips?

Mecha Yoshi iirc based on time since you got the egg

It is based on the amount of time starting from the momemt you got the egg, until the very moment you lose against the Armored Harriers (either HP drops to 0 or you run away from them). Time span goes something like this 0-6 mins -> Green Yoshi 6-9 mins -> Red Yoshi 9-11 mins -> Blue Yoshi 11-15 mins -> Orange Yoshi 15-18 mins -> Pink Yoshi 18-19 mins -> Black Yoshi 19-20 mins -> White Yoshi If you exceed the 20 minutes span, it loops back to the start Once hatched, the Yoshi is going to be the corresponding color, depending on your run, and there's no way to change except for playing a new file Hope it help despite me being late

@@tranmarsherest9579 nah that still helps. Thank you. A friend and I have been wanting to do a speed run where we play the game through once with each kind of Yoshi so this helps me out. Might be difficult to get the green Yoshi on the first attempt but it should be fun 😆
