When you guys comment using Google+, it doesn't give an option to reply. No, I don't live in fear of someone choking me with paracord around my neck. I still drive a car every day and that has WAAAAAY more potential for a violent death. Ultimately, I have this knife for convenient utility use, not for self defense fantasies.

Chris, if I'm correct D2 is not a stainless steel, its a tool steel which has better rust resistance then for example 10XX or 5160 or other carbon steels. Still great edge retention on that one.
@preparedmind10110 жыл бұрын
You are correct. I knew someone would comment. Don't know why I said stainless. Didn't catch it til later. It's kind of right between stainless and carbon.

Cool cutting machine. It is expensive but that's what's great about this life... you can buy whatever turns you on! I need to start wearing mine more so I don't have to keep looking for the darn thing.

'PM101 Favourites' sounds like a good idea! U could maybe even do reviews on other KZbin-knifenuts (WeAllJuggleknives, Nutn,Tactical, CutleryLover, SkallaGrim & so many more). A more budget-friendly alternative to the BBSS v2 might be the Cold Steel Point/Pro-Guard or even the CRKT Dragon. Happy Easter holidays from Sweden!

Nice neck knife, if I didn't already have an original Izula, I would consider getting one. Who knows, I may just do it anyway & retire the Izzy to a pack strap knife! Right now it's a necker with a cord lock release. Thanks again for a nice video. Good Luck and Godspeed, danofiremano

Damn you! I was checking out neckers and someone mentioned this but the price is huge for a necker at over a hundred bucks but then seeing how it fits here just looks so snug and solid with that width and overal design.Might still go for the Kabar ugh, too many to choose.

Nice! I've been looking for a decent defense/utility for EDC... looks like I just found it! I see the three countersunk holes in the body, between the handle holes... are they to rig it as a spear head??? Keep up the fantastic work, Brother!

What is the difference between your's, and the SOG neck knife? I think it is the Snarl.
@DennisBible10 жыл бұрын
I believe the snarl is just a cheaper, more mass production version. It uses a cheaper steel. I would like to see how the knife and sheath compare. I'm sure it isn't as nice, but it is considerably cheaper. I'm also sure that edge retention on the Sog won't be as good.

Thanks

Darn - this may be the best, and you used to be able to buy them many places (even KMART), but they are discontinued at every website I looked at. Some seller has one on Ebay for $199.00 or so (a $110 or $120 increase over 2014). So suggest unless you have "deep pockets", you had better opt for another knife.

What's the difference between v2 and v1...
@Wanimator10 жыл бұрын
The little guard that prevents you from slipping up.
@manyrice111110 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that v1 has wharncliffe blade and v2 has a drop point blade... From what I gathered at the descriptions. So the knife being reviewed actually looks like a V1 and not V2.
@preparedmind10110 жыл бұрын
manyrice1111 I think you are right...I just checked. Now I'm confused. This is the second version of THIS blade style. The original looks more like the SOG Snarl. So then what was the original called? Will have to edit this video when I get home.

It's a neck knife not a karambit or voyager knife .if you want self defiance or worried your going to get hindered in a street battle get something else damn !

It's really cool seeing the neck knife in your EDC, I think they're pretty cool. But they're not my cup of tea; I would buy and carry the minimalist, but 95% of the time I'd forget about the neck knife and go for the pocket not to mention I can't stand things around my neck. I've considered carrying a fixed blade as well but I would get kind of sick of the obtrusiveness, (Ipods/mp3s and phones etc. are just as bad).

Most stainless steel blades are very hard to sharpen--and they don't keep their edge .I've found that 420 stainless steel is the best if ya want a stainless steel knife.
