I just received my SRK and SRK-C in orange today for less than 65. Thanks for letting us know about the deal they had. I have about 10 SRK’s in all the steels they used, carbon V (4), and every other type they made. Hey Chris, I like that Navy parka, I have one myself, came in handy last week up in Canada on a trip. Ended up getting two of the SRK in orange, a Cold Steel walking stick and a shovel. Midway USA is running a good sale on Cold Steel products. Might be time to stock up on any products you guys have been holding out on. Shipping was within 2 days to my house. Thanks Chris for the heads up on the knives.

I've also been spraying my gear with removable (rubbery type) paint that I got from an Auto Store, as you can just peel it off when you don't need it.

Chris. I have one of those WTG Kitsune S's. Mine came with 3 diff handle scale sets, black/green/orange...and a beer coozie! Such a cool little knife. added a Ulticlip and it's one of my fav pocket fixed blades. Have you seen the Asher Fixie in S90V? I have one of those also, had to add a Ulticlip 2.0 and drill a hole to make it work, but that is also awesome. Cheers, from beautiful Petoskey, Michigan!

I have a wtg dregoth in sk85 and its freakin awesome. It chops like crazy and is tough as nails. And on top of that the fit and finish is superb especially considering the price. I have a few things in sk5/sk85/1085/1084 and every single one of them are bomb proof. Its good simple tough carbon steel. Which means its also super easy to put a nice edge on it. Just a couple passes on my ceramic rod and strop for up keep is enough to get back a screaming sharp edge.

SK85 is pretty much 1086 with a little teeny bit of chromium. It'll be good and tough like 1086. 80crv2 can be a little bit harder with some more low alloy additions of vanadium and moly.

I definitely prefer the Strongarm over the SRK C, but the SRK is well worth it at the right price. Saying that, I only got the strongarm when it was on sale.

The seller keeps changing so links are useless but I’ll use one any. But if you search 14c28n fixed blade eventually you’ll find an izula 2 homage. And if you look at the related products there will be another knife. A nice broad drop point and would make a great edc. I assume it’s modeled after an existing knife (I don’t know which one and would love to learn so I can get the original if there is one) and would like a review if possible since I can’t find any information

I actually had better luck with ole grabber blanket than the arcturus. Yea the grommets sucked with the grabber but those can be upgraded easy. My arcturus the black edge material separated from the Mylar side real easy an the reflective side got real dull an I could see through in many places. Grabber is older than my Arcturus an I upgraded the grommets and it works awesome still.

Those emergency tarps have only marginal grommet strength, so baby the big 8x12 in the wind or you'll get tear outs.
