For those who don't understand all the Scatterbugs: Vivillon doesn't change patterns depending on where it is evolved (as is common misconception), but where the original Scatterbug is caught. As such, instead of Spewpa to Vivillon being a branching evolution, the game actually internally stores 20 different identical-looking variants of Scatterbug and Spewpa, each of whom form a typical three-stage evolutionary line with a different Vivillon at the end.

Currently it's more of a when than a where, since it's based on sending GO postcards and then lasting for 24h, but where the postcard is from does somewhat matter Just in case someone, for whatever reason, think it's based on where you are in game

Yep. If you catch a Scatterbug or Spewpa with one GO postcard and then use a different regions postcard, that original Scatterbug/Spewpa will still evolve into the original postcard’s Vivillon form

Yep, the scatterbugs each have a unique flag that determines what vivillon they evolve into because of Pokemon GO. That makes them super common to get in these challenges, but it also means that they usually won't create a loop!

Spewpa is the same, and it isn't because of Pokémon GO. They've been coded that way since gen 6, so they could "remember" the region of the 3DS they were initially caught on, which determined the form they evolved into.

To explain: for every form of Vivillon there exists a form of Scatterbug and Spewpa. While identical they carry a region code which determins Vivillons pattern. This is why they apeared so often and had different evolutions.

Haven't watched it yet but Sheer Cold's accuracy is level based. The lower the level of the Pokemon getting hit by Sheer Cold compared to the user, the higher the accuracy
