As a New Zealand Infantry Veteran soldier, i admire these young Filipino's committing to service in their country's Military Forces. WELL DONE ALL OF YOU. Why are the spectators on the sidewalks not applauding these young men as they should be. Robert. NZ. (Sogod Cebu)

As a Pinoy, before this happened, I swear THAT BUILDING at the intro is SOO FAMILIAR, I remember my family having a Baguio Vacation, as this is one of those and we parked our rented van As THAT PARKING LOT, I know next to it was a Park that I can look at. Good days back then before I reached College.

Greetings from Orange Park, Florida, USA. Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year 2025 to all! So, this is the famed Philippines Military Academy. Precession is not as tight as I expected, but it is close enough. Two companies of upper or lower cadets? Why not include everyone in school? The band sounds great. Are the band members' cadets also?

@thebaguiochannel: for enlisted, they're quite amazingly great! I suppose they're not youngsters then. When just marching two companies, it does not show overwhelming strength. The academy should use this to recruit more cadets. It should be All Hands just like USNA when they participate outside the academy. PMA should adjust their school break and really make this a recruiting tool. Or, is it so tough to get in PMA? To hear commands in Tagalog is so strange hearing it the first time. Does not sound very good especially with this particular cadet's voice I guess. Since my high school PMTs and ROTC at UP Diliman, USN Boot Camp Training, and Commissioned Officers Indoctrination School at NAS Pensacola, Florida, english was the language. So, to hear commands other than that is quite not real.

@ it’s quite tough to get in, among thousands of aspirants they only get 350-370 incoming cadets

@@federiconalos8202 You may have the intense desire in your heart to be part of PMA or PNPA & serve the nation but the very first screening is based on academic exam which in my opinion doesn't really screen those w/ good moral values no wonder a lot of these guys are a bunch of conceited ones who happens to get a higher score & pass the first test.

Sayang ang PMA graduates natin... bababuyin lang pala ng House of Crocs! Nabababoy na sila simula nang maging SPEAKER of THE HOUSE si Tambaloslos Romualdez at maging presidente ang pamilyang numerong magnanakaw. Kudos to the cadets for this Toy Parade.

Question on thier uniform, why are there chevrons in diffrent places on the arm, shouldnt it be in a designated spot on the sleve as in uniformaty.
@thebaguiochannel2 күн бұрын
It seems to signify their particular role or rank. Hopefully, someone in the comments section can help clarify this😊
@eyyy93272 күн бұрын
it signifies their rank, the ones with the chevron at the lower arm are the 3CL cadets while those who have it on their shoulder are the 2CL cadets

@@eyyy9327 I under stand the rank part, its my first time seeing it on diffrent postions on the sleeve, Im just used to seeing dress uniforms look all the same with the placement of the rank in the same place on the sleeve, Im a US army veteran and was just wondering as people say that PMA is modeled after west point, I was just curious. Thanks for the explanation. So the placement signifies thier year in the acadamy?

The band aren't helping the cadets much, are they? Trying to keep step with a jazz band is very tough. That's why military marches have a clear beat for each step.
